Agnes Williams

Agnes Mary Scheel Williams, 72, of San Antonio, TX, entered eternal life on December 28, 2022.  She was born on January 18, 1950 in Blanco, TX.  She was most importantly a dedicated mother and devout Catholic.  She was a committed wife, a loving daughter, sister, and friend to all who were blessed to know her.  In her younger years, she was the Salutatorian of Marion High School class of 1968, and a Minnie Stevens Piper Award recipient (recognizing her outstanding character and scholastic ability).  She was the first student at Incarnate Word College in San Antonio to be named to the Board of Directors of the college, while also serving as the President of the Student Council.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with honors.  Throughout her life, no matter where she was located, she was always very active in her church by serving as lector, a member of the choir, and a member of the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Guild. Her faith was always at the forefront of her life.
At various times, Agnes owned and operated (with her husband) a gasoline filling station, a computer sales and service store, she was a Boys Scout Mom and Camp Fire Mom, and later for many, many years served as a Peachtree software consultant for numerous clients primarily in Louisiana and Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugen and Elenora Scheel, her brother Charlie Scheel, sister Rose Korpi, and husband Gary C. Williams.
She is survived by her children Earnest Williams (wife Kerry), Jody Williams (wife Rebecca), Andrew Williams (wife Selin), and Rebecca Rodebaugh (husband Matthew); siblings Margaret Stapper (husband Ralph), Frank Scheel (wife Joyce), Henry Scheel, Leona Davenport, and Carolyn Stoll (husband John); brother-in-law, Wayne Korpi and sister-in-law, Geraldine Scheel; 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX on Tuesday, January 3rd, from 5-9 pm with Rosary recited at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marion, TX at 10 am with burial to follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery
