Robert Patton

November 17, 1929 — November 3, 2013

Robert S. Patton was born on November 17, 1929. Those who loved him most were at his side as he Graduated to Glory on November 3, 2013. Bob had a long, happy walk through life with little illness or trauma to mar his path. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he spent his early and teen years in Ft. Worth, TX. He played football, tennis and golf at Amon-Carter Riverside High School. Here he met the love of his life through a shared "wink" in 7th grade music class. This eventually led to a marriage which spanned 62 wonderful years. He attended college at the University of Texas in Austin before serving as a weatherman with the Air Force in Korea. After leaving the Air Force, he continued to serve the military as an inventory manager at Kelly Air Force Base for many years. Upon his retirement, Bob took every opportunity to pursue his love for golf and always enjoyed cheering on his beloved Cowboys and Longhorns. His relationship with our Lord was secure and spending time in His house was always a highlight. He now joins his son, Robert and parents, Claranell and Sydney who have been waiting for him. Bob is survived by his wife, Patsy, sister Lorna, daughters Linda and Lorna, granddaughter Christina and his great-grandson Curtis. A Memorial Service will be held at Community Bible Church on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to Harvest Fellowship, PO Box 700067, San Antonio, TX. 78270.
