Chandler “CJ” Scott Jones, 27, resided in Cibolo, TX. He was born in Amarillo TX May 30, 1996. He graduated from Johnson High School in 2014 after moving to San Antonio in 2013. He was called to come home to the Lord Wednesday, May 31, 2023, one day after his birthday.
After 27 years, Chandler could not find his peace on this earth. He took his life, but he had tirelessly fought depression to find happiness here with us until he no longer was able to. He is survived by his mom, Chandy; bonus- dad, Brian; brothers, Ethan/Nathan/Logan; his father, Scott and his energetically loving dog Charlie. Chandler also has multiple bonus siblings that he has through the years embraced more as family than as friends. He is also survived by multiple cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. He truly has never met a stranger in his lifetime that didn’t ultimately become family.
Chandler worked as a shop manager at Take 5 and lived by the motto Carpe Diem. He was known best for his love of video games, his smile or laughter he brought to you, UFC, traveling the world, his WRX, singing, his love for all music, drinking a cold beer and his unparalleled kindness. He was always unapologetically himself for good or for bad. He loved working with individuals with disabilities, the elderly and believed in never judging anyone because you simply could not know what they may be going through. He will forever be missed by his friends and family.
Services will be held at Schertz Funeral Home June 4, 2023. Viewing will begin at 10am and the Memorial Service will begin at 11am.
A Special Thank You from the Niles-Jones Family to all that donated to help with all the arrangements for the services during this very tragic time. He is gone, but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any further donations be made to a local nonprofit suicide organization in Chandler’s name to continue honoring his memory.
